Chin Okeke is a creative innovator set on changing the conversation about Africa.
An Impresario and Entertainment-Entrepreneur.
In 2010, Chin Okeke founded Eclipse Brand Agency, a branding and communications agency and then Eclipse Live in 2013 which is a live entertainment company focused on bring live affordable and accessible entertainment to the youth of Africa.
Chin was a talent manager for over seven years and has represented some of the biggest names in African media and entertainment.
Chin is a Law Graduate (LLB) from the University of Bristol and holds a diploma in Chinese from Tsinghua University, Beijing.
He has lived and worked in New York, London, Beijing, Shanghai and Lagos where he has trained with two Fortune 500 companies, namely, Credit Suisse and the AP Moller Maersk Group. He speaks English, French, Spanish and Chinese.
Since founding Eclipse West Africa (holding company of EBA and ELA), Chin has developed entertainment properties for multinationals like Pepsi, Bollinger and Nokia to name a few.
Chin has overseen the brand strategy, representation, and endorsement deals of several high-profile clients.
At Eclipse Live, they have since developed The Gidi Culture Festival, which is the fastest growing festival in West Africa, defining the progression of music and urban youth culture in Africa as we know it today. Born out of Lagos, the melting pot for music on the continent with a global outlook.
The Dreams Project was designed to create opportunities in non-traditional forms of employment through entrepreneurship and apprenticeship. The dreams project hosted daily seminars were candidates were shortlisted by with top insiders from the entertainment industry and based on performance and meritocracy, candidates secured internships with top media organizations.
In 2005 and 2006 Chin produced The Bristol Fashion Show as a successful fund raiser for a host of charities.
Chin acts as counsel to The Youth Philanthropists Foundation.
